Robbi McMillenRobbi McMillen has just released his latest album ‘Façade’. Circling and pointing out his life and the lives of others, as well as the vast landscape that is Ireland is a major turning point in this young musician’s career, all of these done through ‘Façade’. As well as having acting, radio broadcasting, writing and design experience under his belt, Robbi’s latest album is another of his achievements, steming very much from heart, soul and mind.

Some songs portray himself, while others portray his views on various issues spanning from the death of cultural acceptance in Europe to the churches of the world who have failed to accept.

"There are a lot of problems with the world, and a lot of gorgeous things, so the album struck even. On one track it could be about the non-existent level of acceptance in Ireland's folk and traditional music scene, and next it could be a song about nothing really serious at all!"

Robbi McMillenOnly 18, and known throughout northern Ireland, Robbi is one of the most intuitive musicians to emerge from Belfast’s ‘Gaelicscape’. McMillen has been the centre of many cultural and religious events in Belfast, and of course well heard during ‘The Cultúrlann Days’ with Cabéal. It makes no difference whether he is performing centuries-old Gaelic songs, his own original pieces or contemporary and operatic Christian laments, Robbi McMillen is here to stay.

There have been many milestones, rare for such a young artist - having already recorded two albums and published an intricate poetry collection. These milestones only seem to be tiny stepping-stones by an artist who will surely step right up to the top. It is clear that McMillen’s one-of-a-kind fusion of Irish and Scottish Gaelic culture will always stretch boundaries, keeping traditions and unique diversities alive.

One thing will remain Robbi’s greatest achievement above all other achievements, and that is his musical adventure in writing and recording, keeping both his Gaelic heritage and personal pieces fresh and within arm’s reach of the ears and hearts of people all over the island of Ireland, and Germany through his recordings.
